Party!

Darmstadt is a lively city where you can find all kinds of amusements.

Language courses

Our university offers courses in many languages. Most courses are free! The institution managing the courses is the Sprachenzentrum. Take a look at their web-site, if you are interested.

Sports

In TU Darmstadt you can do a wide variety of guided sports. The Universitätssportzentrum (USZ, university sports center) organizes courses and coaching.

If you are interested in anything particular, drop by at one of the sessions. To assure insurance covering, you have to sign up for the courses.

Generally the courses are free for students of the TU, however for some sports you will need to buy a membership for a reasonably small amount.

Culture

As a student at TU Darmstadt, you can visit operas, dramas, concerts and so on at the Staatstheater Darmstadt for free. Just drop by the pre-selling office up to two days before the event if there are still tickets left.

In addition to the normal movie theaters there is the Filmkreis, which presents two movies a week in the Audimax lecture theater (S1|01) for a small entrance fee.
