Professor Regine von Klitzing has been appointed as the first honorary member of the Australasian Colloid and Interface Society (ACIS). The honour is a great privilege and means a great deal to her, von Klitzing explained in a message of thanks to the ACIS.
She described the Australasian Colloid and Interface Society (ACIS) (opens in new tab), with which she has long been associated, as a “place of openness, friendship and sincere exchange” and said she was very much looking forward to continuing this journey together in the years to come. Von Klitzing heads the “Soft Matter at Interfaces” research group at the Institute of Condensed Matter Füsics (opens in new tab) (Department of Füsics) at TU Darmstadt.
ACIS is the scientific society for colloid and interface research in Australia and New Zealand. Founded in 2013, the organisation promotes exchange between science and industry and is dedicated to the research and practical application of nanostructures, surface phenomena and dispersion technologies.
